Naveena Bhugvandeen

I am a qualified and experienced primary school teacher with 25 years teaching experience. I have 5 years tutoring experience which includes SAT prep. I am currently a full time tutor offering in person and online lessons. My teaching style is adapted to suit the  needs and learning styles of individual children. My experience as a teacher in different countries has given me the opportunity and experience to work with a variety of children with a range of learning styles and needs. I am adaptable and this together with my experience, excellent subject knowledge and understanding of different aspects of the curriculum, patience and compassion are qualities that make me a very suitable choice to support children to develop their skills(academically, socially and emotionally) and become confident individuals. <br>My approach is based on an initial understanding of individual needs and goals of each child and the desired outcome for the tutoring program.  Thereafter proceeding to develop an individual learning journey to best support the child towards achieving the desired goals. Through this process, careful consideration will also be given to the the learning style of each child. Resources and the learning plan will be developed accordingly, personalised to suit each child and subject and will continue to be adapted and adjusted as needed.  I can support children in all aspects of English including writing, grammar, reading, phonics and speaking,l -  maths to develop fluency, appplication and problem solving skills - reading including phonics, fluency, comprehension and understanding. I also have a vast knowledge and experience teaching primary science and humanities subjects including history and geography.
