About FOLD Bakehouse

FOLD Bakehouse is a growing artisan bakery specializing in handcrafted baked goods, sourdough products, and creative desserts. As we continue to expand our operations and develop new product lines, we're looking for a talented and versatile Pastry & Bakery Chef to join our central kitchen team in Al Ain.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and produce a variety of pastries, cakes, desserts, and baked goods.
Demonstrate strong cake decorating skills, including frosting, piping, finishing, and customized cake designs.
Support the development and launch of a new cake collection.
Assist with recipe development, product testing, and seasonal menu creations.
Maintain consistency in product quality, presentation, and taste.
Manage daily production, ingredient preparation, inventory, and minimize food wastage.
Follow food safety, hygiene, and kitchen standards.
Work collaboratively with the team and support different kitchen stations whenever required.
Requirements

Previous professional experience in pastry and bakery production.
Strong cake decoration skills are essential.
Experience with buttercream, ganache, piping, and modern cake finishing techniques.
Knowledge of breads, doughs, and artisan bakery products is an advantage.
Hot kitchen experience is a plus, particularly for candidates comfortable working across different kitchen sections.
Creative, detail-oriented, and able to maintain consistent quality.
Ability to work independently and manage production schedules.
Flexible, proactive, and comfortable working in a growing startup environment.
Willingness to take on different responsibilities and support the team as the business expands.
